Blue Moon Yesterday!

December 17th, 2009 . by Michell Jonas

This was a shot that I took at the right place right time last Christmas! Missed this years with the second Full Moon this month. Wanted to share alittle scripted to manifest on.
Be Someone

Be someone who listens, and you will be heard.
Be someone who cares, and you will be loved.
Be someone who gives, and you will be blessed.
Be someone who comforts, and you will know peace.

Be someone who genuinely seeks to understand, and you will be wise.
Be someone kind, someone considerate, and you will be admired.
Be someone who values truth, and you will be respected.
Be someone who takes action, and you will move life forward.

Be someone who lifts others higher, and your life will be rich.
Be someone filled with gratitude, and there will be no end to the things for which
you’ll be thankful.

Be someone who lives with joy, with purpose, as your own light brightly shines.
Be in every moment, the special someone you are truly meant to be.

I wanted to post an image that I captured over in Cali awhile back. I recently wrote a poem that I thought was appropriate for this image for being present in the moment.

“Our hands grasp as One”

This saying was in my email this morning! Everything in life shows up exactly when it needs to. So I wanted to share and thought my photo was appropriate with the verb-age.

Daily OM
Finding Our Own Paths
Entering Awareness
Entering into our own spirituality is a private journey. Each of us will be drawn to a different gateway to begin on our personal path to awakening to a greater experience of ourselves. Even though we may be taught certain philosophies or beliefs as children, we still need to find our own way of understanding and applying them in our lives. For those who are raised without a spiritual framework, they may not even know their process as a form of spirituality. But at some stage in their lives, whether in youth or adulthood, they are likely to recognize the resonance of their beliefs, the ring of truth in their philosophy, and their dedication to their chosen purpose.

Our inner guidance will lead us, so that we will be drawn to the right doorway for us–a doorway that only we can recognize by the way it makes us feel inside. It could be a picture of an angel or the gift of a crystal. We may meet someone special who shares their experiences with us in a way that we find intriguing. While visiting the home of an admired friend, we may notice a book or statue of a diety, and ask why they chose those tools. Or a word or phrase may catch our attention in a song, or a lecture. For some they may find their way by walking through the experience of illness before they begin the search for what will help them to truly heal, while others may seek physical improvement and stumble across yoga or meditation–only to find that it leads them to an unexpected place beyond the body.

As we awaken to ourselves and to life, we will become more attuned to what is right for us. The universe speaks to all of us through infinite channels, but we each have our own frequency. Others may share what worked for them, but only we can decide what truly makes us feel inspired, awakened, connected, fully conscious, aware and alive. Whatever our path, it is perfect and is meant especially for us.

Protests in Tibet and Nepal

March 17th, 2008 . by Michell Jonas

I just recieved news from Ashley at Redback Travels about the amazing journey they are taking in Dharamsala with the Protesting of the Monks and Chinese. I was attempting to go on this trip with her and we were trying to work something out so that I could go along for the trip and photograph while we were there, but the trip had sold out by the time I got back with her. Unfortunately, she was unable to bring her camera with and capture the amazing footage. More importantly is that there group stay safe through all of this! This one will be in the History Books for sure. Found this article on the NewYork times. See below for the direct link to this.

Spiritual Artistry

February 24th, 2008 . by Michell Jonas

I wanted to show another before and after of another image that I did at a Goddess Event with Shirley from Inspirations Books and Gifts. She has a shop down town Glendale, and is doing numerous events for like minded individuals. This Friday she will be having a Drumming Circle, which I will attending that are so much fun! She is also the one that I did a book cover for which is in my blog under Sacred Imagery. Anyhow, the image that I choose, was all done in Adobe PScs2, with some layers and previous textures I have and then erased and highlighted certain areas and painting with light. I choose these colors that I felt complimented her as a Wicca, and was able to bring out the essence of her personality. I went into the Aura Chart again afterwards and was amazed to see what her colors meant.

Reds are physical and sexual. They love expressing themselves through their sensuality and their physical bodies. They live their lives in the here-and-now with zest, strength, courage and self-confidence.

Reds love to live in physical reality, to manipulate their environment. Reality must be tangible to them. They must be able to see, touch, hear, taste and smell it. Reds are not abstract thinkers. A wall is a wall and there is no need for further discussion or speculation. Reality is literal, not ethereal or complicated.

Reds require proof that something exists. It must have a concrete and tangible substance. Reds remind us that we have bodies, that we are matter — flesh and blood. These robust personalities enjoy the physical aspect of life. They don’t try to see life as an illusion or try to escape from it into a fantasy world.
Yellows are the most fun-loving, free-spirited, energetic, and childlike personalities in the aura spectrum. Yellows are wonderful, sensitive, optimistic beings, whose life purpose is to bring joy to people, to have fun, and to help heal the planet.

Yellows can either be very shy and sensitive, or they can be the life of the party. These playful characters have a great sense of humor. They love to laugh and to make others laugh. Yellows believe life is to be enjoyed. They like to live life freely and spontaneously. With a perpetual smile on their face, they remind people to not take themselves or their problems too seriously.

Yellows would prefer not to work at all, unless their work was fun, playful, or creative. They love nature, and often have concerns for the survival of wildlife and the environment. Dogs are very drawn to Yellows and often become their best friends.

Greens are some of the most powerful and intelligent people in the aura spectrum. Greens are extremely bright. They process information and ideas quickly; jumping from steps one to ten. They do not like dealing with all the steps and details in between.

A project that is too detailed is tedious and boring for Greens . They prefer to develop an idea, organize a plan, and then delegate someone else to take care of the details.

Greens are very drawn to money, power, and business. These quick-thinkers are very organized and efficient. They write lists and efficiently check off the items on the list as they are completed. Greens recognize patterns and discover solutions very quickly.

When Greens are in their power, they can accomplish anything. They love to set goals and are determined to achieve them. Greens are “movers and shakers” when it comes to taking action. They are also typically the workaholics on the planet.

Greens are highly competitive and enjoy challenges. They thrive on taking risks. Gambling is common for Greens , especially if there is a potential for large winnings.

Being strong-willed, these powerful personalities are determined to have their own way, which they usually feel is the right way. A person is rarely able to win an argument with Greens.

Oranges are the thrill-seekers and daredevils of the aura spectrum. They love the challenge and excitement of physical danger. They love to challenge their environment and go beyond any accepted physical limits.

Oranges put their lives on the line just to feel alive; the stakes must actually be life and death for Oranges to feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. They love the adrenaline rush of excitement in the face of danger.

For Oranges , thrills, cunning skill, and excitement are the essentials in life. Everything else is just passive existence. Evil Knievel and actor/stuntman Jackie Chan are well-known examples of Orange auras.

I was amazed to see how these colors fit her personality! With the orange color, she puts her self on the line everyday with her job!
Enjoy!

Dave Stringer and Sat Kartar Concert

February 4th, 2008 . by Michell Jonas

I wanted to share this great Event that I attended and photgraphed on January 18, 2008 over at Scottsdale Kerr Cultural Center with Dave Stringer and Sat Kartar. Kathy Borcia from Sabina Events put together the show. She is the one holding a CD Cover for an upcoming event Drew Bennett. I took one image of Dave to enhance with Adobe Photoshop CS2 as you can see below. I placed an OM hand behind him feeling that this represented him. If you look a little closer at the blue bleeding into the brown area on the right hand side of the image, you can almost see as though an entity or a shape of a person is coming out, with the face and body veering away from him. Almost as though it is leaving his body. By feeling what colors needed to play into this image, I looked at an Aura chart afterwards to see what the colors meant. And WOW..It feels as though this fits his personality!

The BLUE means: Blues are some of the most loving, nurturing and supportive personalities of the Life Colors. They live from their heart and emotions. Their purpose for being on the planet is to give love, to teach love and to learn that they are loved. Their priorities are love, relationships, and spiritualityGood communicator. Sense of inner peace and calm. Expressive, Nurturing.

INDIGO: Indigo is the most recent aura color to arrive on the planet. Indigos are ushering in a new energy, a new consciousness, and a new age of peace and harmony. Whereas Violets feel driven to help save the planet, to educate the masses, and to improve life here, Indigos are here to live as examples of a new higher awareness. Third eye is open. Positive detachment. Idealistic. Psychic. Deep spiritualism.

TAN: The bright and curious Abstract Tans are unique characters in the mental family. They are the most childlike of all the Tans. Abstract Tans are open, friendly and outgoing. They have incredibly optimistic personalities. Though they frequently have high energy, it is also usually scattered. They tend to go in many directions at once.

Michell

How to Find Peace in the Midst of Difficult Times

It’s Gonna Work Out
by Margot Zaher and Jafree Ozwald

The Perfect Process…
It really doesn’t matter when something negative happens to you on any one
specific day. It is all blessed fuel for your spiritual awakening. Your
ego will of course be judging your experience as wrong, terrible or
consider it to be the dramatic victim of all creation (if you allow it
to do so). Anything that arises that is not in perfect alignment with
what is “supposed” to happen (according to the ego) the mind throws a
mini or major fit. So when you get triggered by something or someone,
you can stop and re-center yourself on the thought that “everything works out perfectly in the end”.
The contracted experience you are having will all of the sudden feel
easier to handle and you will more consciously work with the feelings
that are arising in that moment.

The strangest thing about life is that it really all does work out
perfectly in the end. In the midst of suffering your mind will not
trust, believe or agree with this. Yet, the truth is that from the
vantage point of your soul, everything is always divinely orchestrated
to perfection no matter what happens. The whole Universe is conspiring
in awakening you to experience the truth of who you are, and sometimes
will attempt to give you a growth experience that your ego doesn’t like
at all! The only reason we ever experience things are not working out
in life is because the mind/ego cannot always see the bigger picture
from the perspective of one’s soul.

The truth is that everything always works out perfectly in the end.

When you hold onto this thought for an extended period of time, it soon becomes a mood,
attitude and an approach to life. By diving into the feeling that
everything in the future will work out to divine perfection, you can
relax, explore your spiritual essence deeper and actually enjoy your
life! With practice you will discover the hidden blessing that any
challenging situation was trying to offer you, and the opportunity for
the growth that was buried within it.

We will all be blessed from time to time with situations that are
threatening to the well-being of our ego. When these circumstances
arise, you can easily remember to relax and remember that in the future
the deeper understanding of why this situation had to emerge for you
will show itself clearly. Deep down inside your infinite Divine Self
knows that every experience in life is perfect because there does not
exist a “wrong” experience.

Everything is part of the play on the stage of life which your soul has chosen to participate in as an
observer, actor and producer. Your ego may sometimes love the scene,
while other times reject it completely. Just know that everything is
temporary, and that suffering only occurs when you are overly attached
to how a scene “should” be happening. Everything is divine. You are
here to explore it all and enjoy the large diverse variety of
experiences that arise.
